Project Narrative

Redefining Regional Expectations

David Stumpf Architecture introduces a bold new architectural language to Pittsburgh’s East Side with The Estates at Meadowink. Situated directly adjacent to a tee box on the Meadowink Golf Course, these two uniquely contemporary homes were designed to challenge the traditional vernacular of the region.

The design employs clean lines, bold forms, and a layered material palette to create a refined balance between openness and privacy. This project is not merely about standing out; it is about establishing a higher standard for thoughtful residential design in a market ready for innovation.

Light, Transparency, & Structural Art

Similar to our work on the Mori Residence, this project treats Light as a primary material. The entry experience is defined by a double-height glass foyer that showcases the central stair as a piece of Structural Art. This transparency creates an immediate visual connection from the street, through the home, to the landscape beyond.

The first floor is an exercise in open-concept luxury. The Great Room anchors the home, featuring expansive glazing that overlooks the infinity edge pool and the fairway. A dedicated Butler's Pantry supports the kitchen, ensuring the main entertaining space remains uncluttered.

Curated Luxury & Golf Lifestyle

The programming is rigorously tailored to the golf course lifestyle. The 3,000 SF floor plan includes a specialized Golf Cart Garage integrated into the main vehicle storage, leading directly into a mudroom for seamless transition from the course to the home.

The second floor is zoned for ultimate comfort. It features a flexible "Party Room" and two guest suites with a shared spa-bath. The Master Suite is a true sanctuary, boasting a private balcony with course views, expansive "His and Hers" walk-in closets, and a luxury bathroom featuring dual private water closets—a detail rarely found in this market segment.
